Working Principle
In the realm of sewage treatment, pollutants are generally categorized into two main types: soluble organic matter and insoluble substances, often referred to as suspended solids (SS). Under specific conditions, soluble organic matter has the potential to convert into insoluble substances. One effective method for sewage treatment involves the addition of coagulants and flocculants, facilitating the transformation of soluble organic matter into insoluble substances. This process allows for the removal of all or most of the suspended solids (SS), thereby achieving a high degree of sewage purification. The predominant method employed for removing these SS is air flotation.
Following the chemical dosing reaction, the sewage progresses into the air floatation unit's mixing zone, where it merges with the dissolved air water post-release. This step liberates the air dissolved in the water, creating tiny bubbles ranging from 20-40um in size. These bubbles provide a surface for the flocculant to adhere to, subsequently guiding it into the air floatation zone. Under the influence of air buoyancy, the flocs ascend to the water's surface, forming a layer of scum. The clarified water beneath flows into the clear pool via the water collector. A portion of this water is recirculated to serve as dissolved gas, while the remainder exits through the overflow port. Once the scum layer on the air float tank's surface reaches a certain thickness, it is efficiently scraped into the air float sludge tank for discharge.
