Working Principle
In the intricate world of wastewater treatment, pollutants are primarily classified into soluble organic matter and insoluble substances (SS). Although these soluble organics can transition into insoluble forms under specific conditions, effectively purifying sewage demands a scientific approach. By introducing coagulants and flocculants, most soluble organic materials are cleverly transformed into insoluble matter. The air flotation technique then plays a pivotal role, facilitating the removal of SS and ensuring the utmost purification of the wastewater. This method stands as a testament to the elegance of engineering in achieving pristine water.
Post the dosing reaction, the sewage navigates into the air float's mixing zone, where it encounters the released dissolved air water. As the air liberates from the water, it materializes into 20-40um micro-bubbles, effectively attaching to the flocculants. Consequently, these flocs ascend into the air float zone, where buoyancy aids them to the water's surface, forming a scum layer. Clean water, now devoid of impurities, continues its journey through the water collector to the clear pool. A portion of this water is ingeniously recycled as dissolved gas, while the purified fraction exits via the overflow port. With time, the scum accumulates to a defined thickness, and a scraper efficiently transfers it to the air float sludge tank for discharge.
