Working Principle
Pollutants in sewage are categorized into soluble organic matter and insoluble substances (SS). Under specific conditions, soluble organic matter can transition into non-soluble substances. One effective method of sewage treatment involves the use of coagulants and flocculants to convert most soluble organics into insoluble forms. The air flotation technique is primarily employed to target and remove these non-soluble substances, achieving optimal sewage purification.
Following the dosing reaction, wastewater enters the air floatation mixing zone where it converges with released dissolved air water. This process liberates air from the water, forming minuscule bubbles (20-40um) that attract the flocculant. These floc-bound bubbles ascend to the air floatation zone surface via buoyancy, creating a scum layer. Clean water progresses to the clear pool through a collector, with some recycled for further gas dissolution. As scum accumulates, it is efficiently scraped into the sludge tank for disposal, ensuring consistent purification.
